Amanda Baulig, Vice President of Housing and Community Strategies
Amanda Baulig is currently the Vice President of Housing and Community Strategies at Loudoun Habitat for Humanity. She has worked in housing since 2018 with various Habitat affiliates across Maryland and Virginia. Amanda earned a master’s degree in social work from Salisbury University and enjoys using her expertise to provide affording housing opportunities to residents of Loudoun County, VA. She was first drawn to Habitat’s mission because is it a practical way that she can live out her faith.
Amanda’s position provides support to the Loudoun affiliate through the direct oversight of the Homeownership Program, Home Repair Program, Tools for Life Learning Center, and all of the affiliate’s Construction activities. She strongly believes that housing is a human right, and everyone deserves a decent place to call home. The global mission of Habitat allows Amanda to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly (Micah 6:8).
In her free time, she enjoys scouting out estate sales and finding treasures at local thrift stores. She takes pride in being handy and utilizing her ‘furniture flipping’ skills. Discovering new joy in the reimagined pieces that she has collected over the years has been very fulfilling. And of course, come Sunday, you will first find her at church and then cheering on her Philadelphia Eagles, Go Birds!
