Loudoun Habitat for Humanity’s 15th Annual Raise the Roof Gala
Raises Nearly $500,000 for Affordable Housing
Record-Breaking Milestone Event Draws 450+ Guests, Historic Sponsor Support,
and Founding Visionaries
LEESBURG, VA — Loudoun Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce the success of its 15th Annual Raise the Roof Gala, held on March 14 at the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles in Chantilly, Virginia. The milestone celebration brought together over 450 guests and a record number of sponsors, raising nearly $500,000 in support of affordable housing in Loudoun County. This year’s gala marked more than a fundraising achievement - it celebrated 15 years of community, compassion, and a shared commitment to ensuring that everyone has a safe, stable place to call home.
“This milestone year is a powerful reminder of what a community can accomplish when it comes together around a shared purpose,” said Judy Singer, President & CEO of Loudoun Habitat for Humanity. “The generosity we saw that evening will translate directly into real opportunities for families across Loudoun County.”
Celebrating a Lasting Legacy
The evening held special significance as Loudoun Habitat welcomed back the founders of the Raise the Roof Gala, Lori Duvall and Julie Hoffman. Their vision helped establish what has grown into one of Loudoun County’s most meaningful annual traditions. Returning as emcee was Tony Howard, President & CEO of the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce, who has now led the event for 14 of its 15 years - a testament to his longstanding commitment to the organization and its mission. The event was further distinguished by the presence of local leaders, including Chair Phyllis Randall, Vice Chair Mike Turner, Supervisor Juli Briskman, and Supervisor Sylvia Glass.
Broad-Based Community Support
This year’s gala saw more sponsors than ever before, led by Southland Industries and Wells Fargo, with additional support from Vesta Settlements, QTS, HITT Contracting, Microsoft, and many others. Sponsors represented a wide range of industries - from data centers and technology to finance, construction, and the automotive sector - highlighting the broad-based commitment to addressing housing challenges in Loudoun County.
A Night of Engagement and Celebration
Guests experienced an engaging and memorable evening featuring a silent and live auction with standout offerings, including a group trip to Bordeaux, France and a luxury getaway to Telluride, Colorado. Additional highlights included a wine pull and raffle featuring high-end selections, as well as interactive experiences such as a 360-degree photo activation and themed photo booth.
Throughout the reception, attendees explored immersive exhibits showcasing Habitat’s work and future vision, including a preview of the Village at Clear Springs, an upcoming development in Leesburg that will bring 12 new affordable townhomes to the community. The evening also included lighthearted touches, including appearances by “Habitat Hank and Helen,” mannequins featured in the exhibits - with Helen even making her way into the ballroom and taking a seat at a dinner table.
Looking Ahead: Expanding Impact
The momentum from this milestone event carries directly into Loudoun Habitat’s next chapter of impact. The Village at Clear Springs represents one of the organization’s most ambitious homebuilding efforts to date, expanding access to attainable homeownership for families in Loudoun County.
In addition to new construction, funds raised will support Loudoun Habitat’s Critical Home Repair program, which helps homeowners - particularly seniors and those on fixed incomes — address essential repairs and accessibility needs. This work allows individuals and families to remain safely and independently in the homes they already have, preserving both stability and dignity.
Together, these efforts reflect Loudoun Habitat’s commitment to serving families across a broad spectrum of housing needs — from those striving to purchase a home to those working to hold onto one.
As Loudoun Habitat for Humanity continues its mission, the organization invites the community to stay engaged through volunteering, advocacy, and continued support.
